Hey, Jess here!
I just had a huge spider in my room. I know I said that I love animals, but spiders not so much. At least not the big ones and especially not in my room (I don't want them making a nest). That doesn't mean they have to die if you ask me. No I just get them outside, that's all. But! On to what I actually wanted to talk about:
Some may have noticed that I have read this book quite recently. And I really liked this book, so I will say something about it. Maybe some others will get interested too, that would be great. I won't be going into the story much, because I don't want to ruin anything for potential readers.
"A Street Cat Named Bob"
As the title may suggest, it is about a cat. But not just any cat. The author is in fact also the main character in this story, well, the human main character, haha. This man, James, is the one who finds the cat, Bob. But it could also be said that it's the other way around. James has no idea wat has happened to Bob in the past, but along the story he tells about all kinds of hints he get from mostly Bob's behaviour. It seems that Bob didn't have the easiest life so to say, but neither has James.
During the story you read about how they grow closer to each other and how James' life chances drastically.
In my opinion it's noticable that James isn't what you call a professional author (he actually mentions this at the end of the book). But this doesn't make the story any less great. Sometimes is felt things were repeated often, things like form of speech or certain events. But when you look back, you'll notice how things were not as similar as you first thought. Also, many times it was kind of hard to put the book down. There weren't exciting things like battles or the like. But there are events that makes you want to know what happens next as soon as possible.
To wrap things up, this story gives you hope. Hope things will get right in the end. I would recommend this book to anyone who needs a story to make them smile... or who loves cats (like I do), haha.
To be continued...
