Tiny Celebi

Hey, Jess here! I really wanted to share this picture with you guys. I say picture and not drawing because it is actually a picture. A picture that I editted to be exact. When I looked at this picture I immediately imagined a Celebi in it, so I had to draw it! Feedback will be appreciated. =) "Tiny Celebi"

God Research: 7. Chang'e

Hey, Jess here! Quite a while ago already, I wrote about Hou Yi. In this story I mentioned the name Chang'e a few times, because she is Hou Yi's wife. Then it so happened that I were to play Chang'e in a match of Assault in Smite, so now it's time to talk about her. Just like her husband, Chang'e is from the Chinese mythology. She is a beautiful woman who now lives on the moon.  This makes her the moon goddess. But she wasn't always that. There are at least two versions of her story and some details have even more variations. Version 1 Source: https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chang%27e#/ media/File:Chang%27e_flies_to_the_moon_-_Project_ Gutenberg_eText_15250.jpg When Chang'e still was a young, but already beautiful girl, she actually carried the name Heng'e. At that time she worked in the Jade Emperor's palace which was in heaven. In this palace resided the immortals, good people and also fairies. But one day, Heng'e broke a very

My precious ones

Hey, Jess here! I kind of neglected it, but I own a few guitars. Whoa, newsbreak, I know! But really I used to play the guitar and I still have my little precious ones. So I wanted to tell you all about them, why I started playing the guitar and also why I stopped. So, I think I was twelve years old (but maybe a little younger) when I decided that I wanted to learn how to play the guitar. After saving and a little help from my parents, I  could buy my first acoustic guitar and a few books to learn how to read music and play simple tunes. At first I really loved doing that and I got the hang of it quite easily. But it didn't take too long for me to get bored of it. And I don't think that's reall weird, because no one would like doing the same thing over and over again. My first electric guitar So that's why I decided that I wanted to have an electric guitar. I'm not sure where the money came from, but for just 100 euros I had my own electric guitar with a

God research: 6. Agni

Follow my blog with Bloglovin Hey, Jess here! Source:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agni #/media/File:Agni_god_of_fire.jpg It's been a while since I've wrote something new, but I have a reason for it. I spent almost the whole week with my boyfriend and wanted every moment to count. We won't be able to see each other much anymore, because he's starting a new job. It will only be part time for now, but I have my own job too. Besides, travelling has also become a lot more expensive. To be honest, I feel really bad about it all and I already miss him a lot. But maybe I can try to write a little more just to get my mind of off things. So for today I wanted to discuss Agni. Agni is a god of the Hinduism. He is depicted with either two or three heads and two to four arms. He usually has a beard and a halo of flames leaping upward, but always has a red skin. Agni often rides a wagon pulled by horses or rides a ram. He mainly is a fire god and is also one of the

God research: 5. Chronos

Hey, Jess here! This time, my random god selector (a.k.a. a match of Assault in Smite) came up with Chronos. So let's do it. Chronos is the god of time, measurable time to be exact. He was originated from the first god Chaos. Another Greek word for time is Kairos, but this roughly means 'the indeterminate moment that is right for something to occur' and is more associated with the feeling of not knowing how much (measurable) time has passed. Source:  https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chronos Chronos is usually portrayed as an old and very wise man who has a long, grey beard. This is similar to Father Time. This name also came from something else. Chronos is often confused with Cronus, the Titan (though some think he is consciously identified with him) because of the similar names. Also, the Greeks believed that the name Cronus was an allegorical name for Chronos. It wasn't only the name, but also the story of how Cronus ate his children (the Olympians) was

"Assassin's Creed; Renaissance" Book review

Hey, Jess here! I thought it would be a good idea to go through a series instead of going between different books from different series. And because I did an Assassins Creed book last time, I will do this series first. So Assassin's Creed; Renaissance is also written by Oliver Bowden and it was released in 2009. This was the first Assassins Creed novel Bowden has written. The story follows Ezio Auditore da Firenze, the protagonist of the videogame the novel is based on. It mostly follows the story well and so it is basically an retelling of the videogame. This also means that in this novel there is no 'different way' of telling the story (as I have explained for Assassin's Creed; The Secret Crusade ). But there are also some differences between the game and the novel. The most important difference is the lack of present day scenes. Those who have played the game know this, but for those who haven't: in the game there are present day scenes. In these sce

How I started playing Assassins Creed

Hey, Jess here! I am not sure if I have mentioned it before, but I'm a huge fan of Assassins Creed. In fact it's my all time favorite games series and I don't think that will ever change. But ther has to be a moment when I started playing it right? Of course there is and I wanted to tell you about it. When I was 15 or 16 years old when I finally got some real friends (like, people who actually cared for me and didn't just use me) and so I also met my best friend. I don't know if he would like me to say his name, so just to be sure I won't. But at that point I had barely ever played games before. I did have a Nintendo DS, which is now a very old version, but I only had it for Nintendogs (oops). Later I started playing other things on it, but that's a story for a different time. My best friend and another friend were real gamers, haha. They came together just to play games and since I was their friend now, I also came. But at first I was only watching
